토론토의 라디오방송국 CFNY의 슬로건에서 가져온 곡명. 'The Spirit of Radio'는
전작 'Hemispheres'의 악몽같던 레코딩 세션 이후 좀 더 자유롭고 야성적인 사운드로
돌아오는 계기가 된 앨범 'Permanent Waves'의 타이틀 곡이다.
일단 20분을 육박하는 곡도 없어졌고, 앨범의 마지막 곡 Natural Science가 9분을
살짝 넘기는 수준이다. 프로그 락(Progressive Rock)의 원조가 궁금하다면
한 번쯤은 꼭 들어봐야 할 앨범이랄까.
